Terrorist Warnings

No more color codes telling us if we are in danger of terrorist?! What is the US coming to if we don’t know what to do without those warnings?  Beginning of May end of April the color codes will no longer be effective, instead something that will be in more detail of what is happening.  This week will be the beginning of the phasing out stages of the old program that the Bush administration had started right after 9/11.  Homeland Security will be the head of the new program that will slowly be applied to the already placed system.

The program has been worked on for the last year, testing it in airports and larger government buildings.  The new program also known as National Terrorism Advisory System, will only been sent out to certain people or places depending on the severity of the case at the time.  Some of the examples of who would be notified were only law enforcement, government buildings, airports, and maybe at the worst the public; this only because of the fear of panic that may not be needed.   Each place will explain either if the threat is ‘Imminent’ or ‘Elevated.’

The old system had been a joke of many talk show and comedy shows since the beginning of the program.  Both show expressing how vague each color meant or described.  If you didn’t know each color green being the lowest risk all the way to red at the meaning severe threat. 

Both methods can be explained pretty much the same.  We are in danger of getting hit by a terrorist or not.   After ten years of terrorist being a huge concern for the government we need to just sit back and just ask ourselves.  Is their terrorist here? Probably.  Does the public need to know?  Of course.  Why must we make it so complicated?  Yes there is a threat.  No we have everything controlled there isn’t a threat.  Why can’t the government just say that?  Makes me wonder how much they spent on finding someone to give them a better name and program? 

How many wasted hours did they take out of their time they could have been doing something else?  They could have taken that time to actually look for the terrorist rather than think of a name to explain to us what is going on with our country.  They spent a year coming up with this idea, seriously!  Sure “Saturday Night Live” made fun of the color coded chart, they make fun of everything.  They will more than likely make of fun of this new program. 

Do you think they will go and make a new program after that because ‘Saturday Night Live’ made fun of it?  Makes me wonder if in the future they will begin to change Presidents every time they are made fun of then as well.   Wait we wouldn’t have a President if they began to do that. 

I disagree to the new program because I hate wasted time, I believe every moment needs to be spent on something that actually needs to be done.  Not on how the word sent out to the country.  When will they just monkey’s take over?  They may do things actually right.
