Rights for who or what.

Very few things out there that will make me mad where I will go off and argue with a stranger.  But bigotry is one of them… Mostly Religion, hate towards different, and how a woman should treat their body.
I myself am not a religious person I believe that is a personal choice something between themselves and God.  I am agnostic please do not confuse it with atheism because they are not even close to being the same.  Agnostic just means that I believe in a higher power, I don’t know if it is “God” or if someone messed up a science project and we were the results of it and we are just a small pigment on a piece of mold.  However, in my book when someone says that someone else’s faith is wrong, I become very angry.  What right is it of yours to say to someone that their religion is wrong: Have you been to Heaven, have you talked to God, did you have dinner with Jesus?  Then how can you go off and tell someone they are wrong?  If you get technically if all religions are correct we are all going to Hell because we didn’t believe in the other’s religion.  However, it does say in most religion to love one another.
I am probably over the chubby said of things and heading right toward needing a diet desperately.  I don’t wear a size 6 and even in high school I was 5’11 150lbs and I was pretty damn thin but I could never wear a size that small.  I am different, so I know how it feels when you get made fun, people say things behind your back, or better yet do both.  Why is the world fun of stupid people?  How many wars were created because someone was different, how many crimes, suicides, or just plain ignorance. Do you realize that only about 50 years ago it was against the law for a white woman to marry a black man or the other way around?  Yet we are back to that again, that time that hate.  I am happily married woman to a man.  I don’t care if someone wants to marry someone of the same sex.  What right is it of mine to tell someone they can’t be married?  Because the bible says otherwise?  Back to religion, no offence to anyone reading this, but why are most religions based a book that was written thousands of years ago?  Love is love; we shouldn’t have the right to tell someone they can’t do something so they can achieve happiness.  If religion is right, and they will go to hell because of it…then I don’t want to be right.
I don’t believe in abortion, for myself.  If someone else wants to do it, someone I know and care for and they believe it is the right thing to do; I will hold their hand and hope that they don’t regret it later.  Will I try to talk them out of it, sure?  Will I tell them it is wrong, no?  Because that isn’t my right.  Sorry guys, you don’t know what it is like to be a woman.  We have rights over our own body, our own decisions; you should have no say in the matter.  However, a man should know about that child, he should have a say.  Be he shouldn’t stop her if that is really what she wants.   All these talk about making it illegal or pro-choice or pro-life.  It’s not just abortion either, how do you think came on this earth?  Do you think that you were created to be the deciders of birth?  If men died today women probably could live for another 100 years.  Men couldn’t.

  1. Very interesting post! You raise a lot of good points and questions. It's nice to hear that there are some people in Missouri that aren't the cookie-cutter norm. : )
