So, I play a little game know as World of Warcraft…AKA (Mr. T’s Nightelf Mohawk). Pretty much it’s a medieval game and you get to choose certain races. It is known as a MMORPG (Mulitple Man Online Role Playing Game). Not only are you playing against monsters (mobs) but also other players (toons). You have two different factions the Horde or the Alliance. I play on the alliance and that was because when I first started playing I thought all the horde were ugly and been alliance ever since. The Alliance is made up of six races: Humans, Dwarves, Gnomes, Nightelves, Draenei, and the Worgen. The Horde is made up of six races as well: Orc’s, Taurens, Undead, Trolls, Blood Elf’s, and Goblins. Each race has a set of classes, most races have the same classes but not always.
There are ten different classes: Warrior, Rogue, Hunter, Warlock, Mage, Death Knight, Shaman, Druid, Paladin, and Priest. The Priest, Warlocks, and Mages all wear cloth armor, along with using wands and Intellect for their magic. Rogues and Druids use leather armor and use relic’s and agility for Rogues and Feral Druids. (Each class has three different spec’s they can choose between. Each class is entirely different.) Hunters and Shaman’s use mail armor. Then Warriors, Paladins, and Death Knights use plate armor. Shamans, Warriors, and Paladins use shields. Rogues, Hunters, Death Knights, Shamans, and Warriors can dual wield. (Use two different weapons). Priest, Warlocks, Mages, and Shaman’s all use off-hand items. Which usually is a totem like item pretty much just to give you buffs to enhance your toon.
You get two major professions and all four secondary professions. Secondary’s are cooking, fishing, first aid, and archaeology. Major professions are Herbalism, Skinny, Mining, Engineering, Blacksmithing, Tailoring, Leatherworker, Alchemy, Jewel crafting, and Inscription. The best idea is this instance is to get a gathering skill: Herbalism, Skinning and Mining because the rest of them need that gathering skill to create the professions items.
After picking up on all this it’s time to actually play the game, which isn’t hard at all. There is actually a youtube video of a four year old playing so I am telling not hard. Get these quest from NPC (Nonplayer Characters) and follow the quest-line to gain experience so you can level to the next area. Usually the quests consists of killing this amount of mobs or loot this amount of items off the mobs. Killing is the mobs is usually a lot easier than the loot because the loot isn’t always a 100% drop rate.
Once you get a high level usually max level that is when you are able to go through dungeons with other players and get really good loot and armor so you can sort of level up your gear to the next dungeon so you can play with the higher level areas. The point of the game is pretty much to see who is the biggest and baddest one on the block. It’s just getting there is a major b****!
Hey, my dad plays World of Warcraft! He talks about it sometimes, and I said if I started playing it, I would probably get addicted. He says I would probably think it's boring and hard, but I've never tried it. It seems like there is a lot to it.
