I am having a bit of an argument with myself on a decision that needs to made pretty quick. I need to lose weight, not only because I need to lose weight for my mother’s wedding but also because I need to lose it before senior because of my major I have to enroll in police academy to be able to finish my degree. Well, they have some hard courses to go through and being fat is going to be hard to do those things. So the question is P-90-X or HCG diet?
P-90-X or Power 90 Extreme (90 minute regiment) is an extreme work out video that major athletes and celebrities are using to shed off weight quickly and healthy. But the problem is the work out it’s not so bad if you are light weight looking for muscles but when you are the weight I am, I will be sore for the next two months. However, I will be happy because I lost weight. They give you a list of food you need to eat, but pretty much as long as you make the right choses on the food and light on the portions you can pretty much eat whatever you want. So food stays the same all you have to do is work out 90 minutes really hard every day. Or…
I go with the HCG diet, guaranteed to lose 20lbs in thirty days or your money back and it supposed to drop off that quick all the time. Never really a time where you won’t be losing weight. In one of the guidelines they literally say that if you start to lose more than two pounds a day to literally go eat a steak because you are losing to quickly. The only down fall with this diet is the first two days you literally have to pig out after that and the next 45 days you can only consume 500 calories a day. That isn’t much you will be able to eat. You would have to take lots of vitamins to be able to keep the nutrients in your body. It is FDC approved, but how can people really not get sick from it? But you lose all that weight and they literally tell you do not exercise while on the diet. So, no food but no exercise.
It all comes to one thing: Exercise and eat or don’t eat and don’t exercise. Hubby and few other people think I should go with P-90-X because it is the healthiest way to do a diet. But other people say HCG because I really do need to lose weight fast for mother’s wedding that is right around the corner. I haven’t the foggiest idea on which one I should choose to do. Neither of them ‘seems’ to be all that healthy. Or maybe I just want to take the easiest root and not exercise because I am extremely lazy and that is where I got stuck in this predicament anyways. Why can’t I just go and get the LapBand done? Oh yea need money to do that!
You sound like me! I always want a quick fix for everything, including losing weight, and sometimes I'll admit I go about doing so in unhealthy ways. I am kind of lazy too, so I would love to be able to lose weight and not exercise! P-90-X doesn't sound very appealing. However, you actually get to eat with that one, and you said that the workouts are really intense, so you should be able to shed the weight fast. Stick to it and good luck! :)
ReplyDeleteI know how much we all want instant graification; however, the HCG diet is very unhealthy. I know several people who have done P-90-X and I know a person who is on the HCG diet. Even though you can lose a lot of weight quickly on the HCG diet it is soo unhelthy and it will not last. You cannot be on the HCG diet for the rest of your life and as soon as you go off of this diet you will gain nearly all of the weight back. With P-90-X, they are actually teaching you the correct way to lose weight with exercise and proper eating habits. P-90-X demsonstrates lifestyle changes that you can use for the rest of your life and this will help you be successful for years to come. You may not get the results as fast as you would with HCG, but it will help you out in the long run and comes with less risks. I have a wedding this summer and I will be at the pool three days a week with the kids from work so I am also trying to get the motivation to work out and lose weight. I plan on doing P-90-X because you lose weight in a healthy manner and have seen it work for friends and family. Good luck with your weight loss!
ReplyDeleteHey girl! Im actually doing p90X right now. I LOVE IT, it is so much fun. The host, Tony Horton is funny and good to work out with. Once you start working out every day and it becomes a normal part of your day that you actually look forward to, it becomes easy and really fun. I'd encourage you to try it! Theres so many health benifits along with eating healthy and working out. :)
